Icebreaker Sampo by car
Experience a unique winter adventure: a voyage through the ice! M/S Sampo
welcomes you on board for a memorable cruise on the frozen Bothnian Sea.
Our regular tour features transfer from your hotel or from Kemi Railway Station
to the Port of Kemi and back after the voyage. On board the icebreaker the program
consists of ship presentation, a visit to the engine room and the bridge, lunch in the
ship's cozy restaurant, and a possibility for "arctic swim" (please note:"arctic swim"
for adults only!). The Captain hands the passengers an icebreaking diploma
upon disembarkation.

Nature safari
During the Nature Safari you'll drive your snowmobile on the icefields
and in the woods. You can also try your luck fishing through a hole in the
ice and enjoy grilled sausages, coffee & sandwiches by campfire.

Adventure Safari (8 hrs)
This is for the adventure lover. During the full-day dafari the nature of
Sea-Lapland will become familiar in both Finland and Sweden, as you'll
cross the national border with your snowmobile. The Gulf of Bothnia and its
archipelago will be explored as will the snowclad woods. Lunch is served in
Sweden in a local inn. Max. 100 km.

Ullas husky safari
This is a must while in Lapland: a dogsledding safari in the snowy nature.
A 25-minute car transfer from Kemi takes you to a genuine Husky Farm where
the musher, Mrs. Ulla, lives with her Siberian huskies. The dogs are friendly and
eager to take you on a sleigh-ride. First you`ll have to learn how to drive the husky
team which typically consists of 5 or 6 dogs. You`ll practice the basic command words
and sled control, and soon you`ll be a `musher`: two persons take turns in driving the
team and sitting in the sleigh as passenger. The trek takes approximately
2 hours. A hot beverage of coffee and juice will be served by open fire
during this excursion.

You can participate in Ulla`s Husky Safari in the morning
on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
during the Winter Season from January 5 to April 5, and daily
during the Holiday Season from December 20 to January 4.

The Magic of the Arctic Circle
Experience the Magic of the Arctic Circle during a full day excursion to
Rovaniemi, Lapland´s Capital. First a comfortable 1,5 hour train ride through
the countryside of Lapland from Kemi to Rovaniemi. From the RailwayStation
you´ll be transferred by car to Santa Claus Village where you can meet Santa
Claus in his Office and shop for Lapland souvenirs. En route your driver brings
you to the most important sights in Rovaniemi: the Lumberjack Bridge and
Ounasvaara Hill - you´ll have some wonderful photo opportunities during the
transfer. You´ll visit the studio and private home of Mr. Ari and Mrs.
Irene Kangasniemi who are Lappish artists, working with reindeer antler
as their raw material. You´ll have the opportunity to make your own Lapland
souvenir of reindeer antler with their guidance and you´ll acquainted with their
private home over a cup of coffee. Back to Kemi by train in the evening.
Please note: This tour can also be booked for guests who stay in a Rovaniemi
hotel and wish to be brought to stay in Kemi — or vice versa!

Snowshoe Trek in the nature
There´s no better way to get close to nature than on a snowshoe trek.
Enjoy the silence and the “snow art" of the nature during this 2-hour
program during which a picnic on open fire is enjoyed: coffee, hot berry
juice, grilled sausage and a sandwich.
