Gammeldags isfiske med not (Old fashioned fishing on the ice)

We travel down the river and through the beautiful archipelago surroundings in a warm and comfortable BANDVAGN. Those who prefer sun and fresh air sit in a LÅNGKÄLKE.

On the ice, to the left from Seskarö we will meet the brother Allan and Arne Luthström. Their family has for generations fished in the archipelago. We follow the uneasy fishing process where the seine which is several hundred metres lång is pulled under the ice and finally up from a hole in the ice.
This brilliant technique has been developed by fishermen over many generations. When the seine comes up from the water it sparckles with vendaces and herrings.

Soon the grill hisses and appetite gives the culinary experience an extra spice. You cannot really find fish that would be more fresh than these. Fried vendace, smoked vendace, rieska, coffee, coffee cheese and archipelago coffee.

Archipelago journey to Seskarö Wärdshus

Season: January — 15 april.
Duration: 5 h.
Participants: Up to 25 persons.
language: Swedish, finnish and english.
Price: invite tenders
Includes: Guided journey with tracked vehicle to Island Seskarö. Scoteroverall, gloves, fur hat and warm shoes. Supper at Seskarö Wärdshus. Journey back with buss.

Experience a sky of stars and northern lights on a bog of Norrland

Season: December — may.
Times: 4 h — (late at night)
Participants: Up to 25 persons.
Language: Swedish, finnish and english.
